I am a fan of ice creams. Whether it is summer or winter I can’t just stop eating Ice cream. It is more like I can feel temptation all the time in my mouth whenever I see any wallpaper of Ice cream or I cross by any ice cream shop. So same with this book “A deadly Inside Scoop” — by Abby Collette.
This book starts with Crewse Creamery, a family business, set in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and a girl Bronwyn “Win” Crewse, who recently received this shop as a gift from her grandfather “PopPop”. PopPop and Win both want to make this business a hit, like it was in 1965 when Win’s grandmother used to run this shop. But all the renovation delays make her opening day pushed past the summer months and the day she actually opens is the day the first snow of season descends and it stopped any of the customers from coming.
The First day and No customers make Win stressed out, but Win decides to embrace it by using her grandmother’s secret recipe to make Snow Ice Cream. While out gathering the snow, she suddenly falls over a body of a dead man in the snow who turns out to be a grifter with an old feud with her family. and after some inspection of the police, all the leads put Win’s father as a prime suspect in the murder but Win (a great head on her shoulder) Knows her father very well and now she wants to save her father by solving this murder mystery. Her two best friends Massie (who marches to the beat of her own drum and watch too many crime shows) and Riva (a bit hot temper), grandfather PopPop, Mr. O, and many other connections together helps to solve this mystery.
The whole story in the book is defining various relationships, somewhere it is of a girl and her grandfather, somewhere a girl and her best friends, somewhere a girl with her protective brothers, and somewhere it is just about a girl and a handsome stranger, in this case, the ‘O’.
